FSS signs a series of strategic contracts in banking and securities sectors in 2017

Throughout 2017, Financial Software Solutions Joint Stock Company (FSS) expanded its presence in the banking and securities industries through a series of major project signings with leading financial institutions in Vietnam. The projects covered key areas such as internal funds transfer pricing (FTP), data warehouse (DWH), securities core systems, and securities settlement connectivity solutions, reaffirming FSS’s technology capabilities and position in the financial software market.

On February 28, 2017, TPBank and FSS signed a contract to implement an Internal Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) management system. The project scope included FTP management for all products and items under Market I and Market II operations of TPBank. The project was expected to be implemented in two phases over eight months, providing TPBank with a modern and flexible internal interest rate management and coordination tool capable of responding quickly to market demands.

On April 28, 2017, FSS signed a contract to implement a Data Warehouse system for Maritime Bank (MSB). The system was designed based on the IBM Banking Data Model platform, a best-practice framework widely adopted by banks around the world. Implemented over two phases within 18 months, the project was expected to establish the foundation for modernizing and integrating MSB’s reporting and information systems both in the present and the future.

Continuing its partnership with TPBank, on July 28, 2017, FSS signed another contract to implement a Data Warehouse system for the bank. The system would also be built on the IBM Banking Data Model platform and was expected to be completed within 12 months. The project aimed to provide a comprehensive foundation to support TPBank’s reporting, information management, and data analytics requirements for future growth.

 

On September 18, 2017, National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) and FSS signed a contract to implement an FTP management system. Similar to the TPBank project, the solution covered all Market I and Market II products and operations. The six-month project was expected to equip NCB with a modern and flexible internal pricing management platform to support business operations and market responsiveness.

 

In the securities sector, on October 5, 2017,Hoa Trung Viet Securities Corporation (HZS) and FSS signed a contract to deploy the FLEX securities management and trading system, covering both Back Office and Front Office modules. The project was expected to be completed within four months, enabling HZS to develop competitive and flexible financial products and services, strengthen risk management capabilities, and provide investors with secure, stable, and high-speed online trading channels.

Shortly after, on October 10, 2017, Tri Viet Securities Joint Stock Company (TVSC) and FSS signed a contract to implement the FLEX Core Securities System. The project included a full range of business and operational modules to support securities company management activities. Scheduled for implementation within four months, the system was expected to support TVSC’s operational management, business expansion, and product diversification strategies, while improving operational efficiency and responsiveness to market demands.

 

On December 19, 2017, Shinhan Bank Vietnam (SHBVN) and FSS signed a contract to implement the VSD STP Gateway system. The solution enables SHBVN to communicate and manage SWIFT operational messages efficiently with the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD). Supporting all message standards regulated by VSD, the system helps automate multiple operational processes. The project was expected to be completed within ten weeks.

The successful signing and implementation of these projects throughout 2017 demonstrated FSS’s strong expertise in delivering technology solutions for banking and securities institutions. At the same time, they further strengthened FSS’s reputation as a trusted technology partner in Vietnam’s financial and capital markets.
